We have hit the 1,000th day of no records of LTI.
Nothing is more important to us than the Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSE&S) of everyone who works for us or with us, either directly or indirectly here at ScanTech Offshore. That is why we are celebrating 1,000 days free of LTI (Lost Time Injury) milestone. This milestone reflects the safety culture being directly driven by our employees and upheld by everyone in the business through engagement, ownership and proactive thought processes perpetually driving the culture. The SEE IT OWN IT campaign will continue to drive this to new levels.
Mike Brown, product line director had this to say about achieving this key milestone…
As a company, we are extremely proud to have reached this milestone. Working in the environments in which we operate, every day our personnel are faced with conditions which require them to continuously challenge their thought process to maintain a safe working environment and mitigate against complacency. This achievement is a testament to the fact that ScanTech Offshore clearly embodies a positive and proactive health & safety culture and lives and breathes the values of James Fisher. Congratulations to everyone that has contributed.
Adopting a stringent HSE&S policy is essential to our business and upholding our culture of vigilance will ensure the ongoing safety of our peers. We encourage our team to always remember, that we openly encourage people to challenge situations where they think there could be a problem, rather than ignoring it. When it comes to HSE&S, everyone has the right to STOP A JOB.
To aid with our ongoing HSE&S policies we have transformed some of our processes to be more proactive in accident prevention. One new process is the digital transition of HOC’S (hazard observation cards). We have moved away from the traditional paper-based format to a digital alternative. Following this transition, participation is up encouraging behavioural safety to challenge what employees see and empowering ownership and resolution. The turnaround time to review cards raised has created a more proactive tool than reactive due to the live data being fed into the system which results in a swifter resolution.
